Drug peddler arrested in Srinagar: Police | KNO

Srinagar, Feb 08 (KNO): Police in Srinagar claimed to have arrested one drug peddler and recovered contraband substance from his possession. Police spokesman in a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said that a police party of Police Station Rainawari headed by SHO PS Rainawari established a checkpoint at Kathidarwaza Rainawari where they intercepted a person identified as Bilal Ahmad Shah @ Sagar of Makhdoom Sahib Rainawari, Srinagar. “During checking, officers were able to recover 134 grams of Charas from his possession. He has been arrested and shifted to police station where he remains in custody,” police said Accordingly, the statement added that a case under FIR number 05/2021 under relevant sections of law was registered in Police Station Rainawari and further investigation into the matter has been initiated. Meanwhile, police urged people to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighbourhood—(KNO)
